Mel- Just saw you guys for the 1st time at the Earl in Atlanta last night. I am sold on The Clientele!!
I will collect your music for sure.
Question for you- I am taking up violin. Do you have any recommendations on brand of violin, strings, etc and learning the shapes( books?). How did you learn all your skills? You are very busy up there with all you do. Great!!. Hope to see you guys again soon.
Thanks,
Marsh

Hey, I saw you guys last night in Austin, great show, even with the technical difficulties. It was great to finally see you in action. I hope you return soon. Talented and beautiful, you are a rare breed : )

I think I would freak out if a giant harp appeared out of the blue in my bedroom. That's just my temperament, however.

What if Joanna Newsom showed up with it? -Would you become a sirenical duet? You all were lovely at Spaceland despite the LA rain, but it made the evening more intimate. What more can you ask for on a rainy night with the sound of the Clientele keeping you warm and cozy?

Kevin, I am no expert on violin types and strings, the only thing I know is the older the violin, generally the warmer and more mellow sounding it is. The newer ones sometimes have quite a tinny sound. But....saying that I was recently given a brand new viola by Stentor music company which sounds lovely and warm....I am not being much help - sorry! The strings I use are middle of the road dominant ones. Good luck with your violin journey!
